President and CEO Dan Savitt and EVP and CFO Keith Patterson were named in Crain’s New York Business 2024 Notable Leaders in Health Care list. This list recognizes 53 influential leaders who consistently improve the well-being of New Yorkers through innovation, inspiration, and commitment.
Dan is spotlighted for his work in growing VNS Health, particularly our health plans and behavioral health services, into one of the largest nonprofit home- and community-based organizations in the country. As President and CEO, Dan leads over 10,000 team members who serve more than 51,000 patients and members every day. Under his leadership, the organization now offers health plans in over 30 New York counties He is also acknowledged for making home care more accessible to underserved communities and individuals.
Keith is highlighted for his contributions in growing and managing finances throughout the organization, including six provider services, five health plans, and a corporate shared services division. This year, Kieth helped VNS Health acquire four upstate managed long-term care health plan organizations that were close to shutting down. Because of these acquisitions, many New Yorkers continue to have access to health care services that would have otherwise been lost. He also oversees the finance, audit, and investment board committees and helped initiate career development and internship programs.
