The Wall Street Journal has featured the Visiting Nurse Service of New York in an article entitled, “Senior Services Rush to Shield Older New Yorkers From Coronavirus.” The article focuses on the steps nursing homes, senior centers, and other nonprofit groups are taking to protect the senior population from contracting COVID-19, since the elderly are more susceptible to the disease. In the article, VNSNY Executive Vice President and Chief of Provider Services Andria Castellanos explains protocols VNSNY has put into place for screening and protecting patients and staff.
