Join the Leadership Council
The Leadership Council recognizes annual gifts of $1,000 and above from donors committed to improving health, expanding access to care, and supporting New Yorkers facing the greatest barriers to care. By joining, you continue a tradition of generosity that reaches back to Lillian Wald and the earliest supporters who helped build compassionate care for New Yorkers in need.
Your support helps sustain that legacy by making meaningful change today and strengthening care at home and in the community for people who might otherwise go without the services and support they need. Leadership Council members receive regular updates, invitations to special events including our winter reception, opportunities to meet program staff and organizational leadership, and recognition in VNS Health’s digital Charitable Care and Community Impact Report. Chairman’s Circle and Founder’s Circle members may also access sponsorship opportunities.

You may choose to support VNS Health’s area of greatest need or direct your gift to a specific program, including behavioral health, hospice and palliative care, maternal health, services for veterans and care for uninsured New Yorkers.

Our generous friends who make a long-term commitment to VNS Health are welcomed into the Lillian Wald Society. Named for our founder—the pioneering public health nurse—the Society is our way of showing VNS Health’s gratitude for your commitment to our long-lasting care and service for New Yorkers.
Bequests
Making a gift by bequest to VNS Health can be as simple as inserting a paragraph into your will.
Sample Bequest Language
“I give, devise, and bequeath to Visiting Nurse Service of New York d/b/a VNS Health., with offices at 220 E. 42nd Street, New York, NY 10017 and federal tax ID 13-3189926, or its successors in interest, exclusive of my lifetime giving, if any, the sum of $_____, to be used for its general purposes at the sole discretion of its trustees.”
Your attorney can change this to a percentage of your residual estate or a specific asset, or to specify a particular program.

Life Income Gifts
Life income gifts allow you to help fund VNS Health’s mission while providing you with a lifelong income stream and tax advantages, including in many cases partially tax-free annuity payments.
